Welcome friends, I thank the Almighty God
for keeping us alive despite this trying period in our lives. May His name
alone be highly exalted in Jesus Christ name, amen.
My gratitude goes to God for the grace He
has bestow upon you to be here today. I
pray as we listen to this message, we will not be only the hearer but the doer
of the word of God. Holy Spirit be our guide from beginning to the end in Jesus
Christ name, Amen.
Please don’t be in haste to leave. Your
presence is highly appreciated. Thank you.
Today, I want us to look at the topic ‘In
love Again’. Many of us have grown out
of love because of one problem or another. I know we all are very familiar with
the word love but I am not here to tell you how to fall in love again with man
but how to return back to God by letting go of your fear when facing difficult
times and then replace fear with faith.
No one is born with the spirit of fear
because the scripture has made us to understand that God has not given us the
spirit of fear but of sound mind (2Timothy 1:7).
Friends ask yourself these questions; where does fear comes from? Have I ever been fearful before? Why? How can
I overcome this tormentor called Fear?
Our text is taken from the book of Psalms
Number 27 verse 1 (KJV)
The Lord is my light and my salvation whom
shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Friends, did you hear that? The Lord is
your light therefore if God is your light then where does fear which is
darkness coming from. We are also told that you are I are the light of the
world, meaning we as believers are Christ ambassador on earth.
But
if we do not play our part well, darkness which is fear will dominate us. We
have to represent our master well here on earth because He showed us an
example.
Listen to this John 1:5 (KJV) And the
light shineth in darkness and darkness comprehended it not. So if we ever
allowed fear to dominate us, hmmmm… it means we have failed as God’s
ambassador.
What is fear?
Beloved, I will love you to leave your

Fear is the opposite of Faith. So if fear
is the opposite of faith, what is fear then as a believer? Comment section
please… now, let us now look at types of fear.
TYPES OF FEAR
A. POSITIVE FEAR
Proverbs 1:7 The
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: but fools despise wisdom and
knowledge.
The fear in this
verse means to Reference God, Honour Him, giving Him praises due to who He is,
acknowledging Him in all your ways.
Listen to this:
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man ECCLESIASTES 12:13. (KJV)
B. NEGATIVE FEAR
In our world
today, we face with many challenges which therefore leads to fear. people are
fearful of many things, fear of dying, losing their marriages, career,
education, relationships, business, friends, contract, ministry, and so on.
Once you start having fear or nursing fear in
you, know that you have fallen out of God’s principles and you desperately have
to find your way back by being in love again. Listen to this: And there shall
be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of
refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. Isaiah 4 verse 6 KJV.
What are the
challenges of life you are facing that makes you believe that God has forsaken
you? God can take care of you when you pass through waters and fire (Isaiah
43:2 KJV). Just draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Again it is
written: and I heard a voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of
God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people and
God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe
away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither
sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things
have passed away Revelation 21:3-4 (KJV). Beloved when you have God, you have
everything and His faithfulness are new every morning. Please quit being
fearful for God will carry you on eagle’s wings.
Which type of fear
are you nursing presently?
Friends fear during difficult times like
what we are experiencing presently in our world can enslave you. Fear enslaves.
Beloved has spirit so resist it and it
will flee from you.
So, what are the causes of fear?
CAUSES OF FEAR
There are many causes of fear in individual
life and in the world at large. But I will mention only few and please, you can
drop some too in the comment section.
1.
Ignorance:
ignorance of the word of God can pave way for fear to dominate and torment your
life. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…Hosea 4:6. Jesus said I am
the way, truth and life John 14:6. Dear friend, the moment you ignore that fact
and turn to another way for solution you are doomed. In Jeremiah 32:27 God said,
behold I am the God of all flesh, is there anything that is too hard for me to
do?
Listen to this: Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith
the LORD, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is
the good way, and walk therein and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they
said, we will not walk therein. (KJV).
Jesus is the way and in the way, there are
ways. Please follow me, we are going somewhere. Now after being in the way, you
have to ask for the paths since there are many ways in the Way. That’s when
FAITH comes in. and you have to be in the spirit to access this very way, Jesus
said, The Words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life. The key to get to the spirit realm is FAITH
the opposite of FEAR.
What is Faith?
According
to Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of
things not seen.
Beloved,
FAITH is the law of the spirit realm and Faith is the key that allows us to
enter that realm. At this point, spirit filling is essential in other to
experience the full extent of the ministry of the Spirit to a believer.
Dear friend, you cannot access the spirit
realm by might, power, height, body size, wealth or by certificate but by the
Spirit of God.
Our Brother Samson left us a legacy to
follow when he used faith to access the realm of the spirit and requested for
strength to destroy his enemies. The scripture says after his request; he took
hold of the two middle pillars (that is faith in action) Judges 16:28-29.
He never contemplates if God has heard his
prayer or not. He moves into action and we all know what comes out of it. Jesus
our master showed us a unique example when he fed the multitude with two fishes
and five loaves of bread. Luke 9:16. By faith the children of Israel possess
Canaan the promise land through the word of caleb Numbers 13:30
There are many examples of faith
demonstration in the Bible.
Other causes of fear are:

Doubt
3.
Imagination
Our faith can only grow if we feed our
spirit daily with the word of God which is quick and powerful, and sharper than
any two edge sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joint and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent of
the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
CONSEQUENCES OF FEAR
There are many consequences of fear.
1.
Unstableness:
One of the consequences is that you will be so unstable. Procrastination will
be your best friend and counsellor. You will lack peace because of inability to
focus. Peace will be far from you. A double minded person is unstable in all
his ways. James 1:8 (KJV). And that definitely is not God’s plan for you. Jesus
said, peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid John 14:27. For in peace therefore shall ye have peace Jeremiah 29:7b
When you study the word of God daily you
will have peace and then overcome fear because faith will replace fear. The two
things cannot be present at the same time because darkness and light cannot
dwell together.
In conclusion, beloved, harden not your
hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness. Take
heed, brethren, lest there be any of you an evil heart of unbelieve, in
departing from the living God. Hebrews 3:8 and12.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be
his God, and he shall be my son.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall
have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the
second death. Revelation 21:7-8 (KJV)
