OH! WHOM HAVE I SLANDER?????

I thank God for the Grace He have bestowed upon our lives; by strength shall no man prevail.

 I worship God for His mighty hands upon all the treasured  readers  of this blog all over the world and the leaders. I am grateful O God for who you are; we exalt your name in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Before we continue please let us pray for our Assistant pastor Gloria Okaiman………LORD  Jesus we worship you for the marvelous work you have done in the life of our Pastor.  we commit Gloria okaiman into your able hands, wherever  she is, let your Spirit locate her, touch her heal, heal and comfort her, I declare restoration upon her life, I cover her with the Blood of Jesus.  Disappointment  the devises of the crafty in her life. Put them in fear O LORD; that the nations may know themselves to be but men. I sealed this prayer with the Blood of Jesus for I pray with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let open our Bible to the Book of Genesis 2:16-17

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest  freely eat:

But of the tree of  the knowledge of the good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it…

This world is full of ups and downs, sorrows and joy, love and hatred. This world is indeed a mixture of beauty and brokenness. People have change every second and minutes, you can’t really know who is who, no wonder Apostle Paul said henceforth know we no man after the flesh. Humans are mixture of dignity and degration.

We said we love God but only with our lips but our heart is so so far from him, his truth and power. We believed and worship what we know not. We worship the creature instead of the creator. The LORD’s hand is not shortened that it cannot, neither is his ear heavy that he cannot hear. But iniquities have separated between us and our God and our sin have hid his face from us,  that he will not hear. A lot of people have sold their souls to what they know not and then walk in darkness, allowing sickness, disappointment, pains and tears to be part of their lives.

What a privilege we have to be created in the image of God. We may not fully know the cost to God decision to bring into being a creation, a universe, and order of moral beings outside of him. Within their own Trinitarian life Father, Son and Holy Spirit lived in eternal blessedness a life complete and unmixed with sorrows. But with the decision to create there was decision to open up that life to suffering and rejection as the cause of sharing their eternal blessedness with others.

In the above scripture that we read, have you noticed that it is God who set the prohibition? It is God that says what is good and what is evil.

Beloved brothers and sisters, we are given a wide area of freedom, freedom to explore the world, develop it potentials and to make decisions for ourselves. The choice of what is evil and good were not given, that the decision mad for us by God our creator, he defines good and evil by what he is. He set the limit of our moral life by his own law.

Beloved, God is the standard for all moral Good and the source of moral absolute. His  character and his will are final authority.

Beloved, we are living in the generation where people increasingly want to change their morality, make their own rules and regulations. Everybody wants to be in control. We are busy walking against the will of God.

It is written woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

We enjoyed listening to the voice of the world more than the voice of God.

Listen to this in Genesis 3:1 ; Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God hath made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath god said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

 Beloved, have you noticed anything in the above scripture? The serpent “slander “God? Representing God as ungenerous and unreasonable. Did you see how the serpent tackle the woman with the question? Creating the impression that God is spiteful mean, obsessively jealous and self protective.

Beloved, this is exactly what is going on in our daily lives by refusing to acknowledge God’s daily goodness  kindness and mercies but at all time blame Him for our lives frustration, disappoint and failures.

I want to remind you that no matter who is advising you negatively, you still have the final power to decide whether to do the wrong or the right, good or evil.

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.                 

My question now is:

1. Beloved, have you in any ways, at any time slander  the voice of  God in your life?
2. How have you been listening to that is affecting you negatively?
3. Have you ignored, despised and defied God’s Word in your life?
