DEALING WITH HABITS- SEASON ONE

Weather your bad habit is a minor  annoyance such as insulting your friends, elders when you offend them instead of apologizing, smoking, alcoholism,telling of lies to mention but a few. It takes conscious effort and smart planning to break the circle.

Habit often becomes so ingrained we don’t even notice we are doing them.  You can stop whatever you started as a habit. Bad habits are under your control.

AS HE THINKETH IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE....PROVERBS 23:7 KJV

A lot of bad habits have resulted in marital and family crisis. Some habits have hindered the manifestation of destinies, dreams and visions.

You can free yourself from these destructive habits with the help of God.

What is habit?  An acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary.

What is your habit?

Your liberty is not guaranteed without the help of God;

 You need the Holy Spirit. You need His impartation of holiness and good habits. When you identify a bad habit in your life, you must agree that it is possible to stop it and must be willing to adopt workable solution to see it happen.

 Any habit you tolerate, you cannot truncate.

Is stealing a habit? Is it unstoppable?

LET SHARE THE STORY OF A BOY WHO GAVE HIS LIFE TO JESUS

AND HOW HE HOW HE CAN OVERCOME THE HABIT OF STEALING

Richard is an undergraduate that knows how to steal very well but now he just accepts  Jesus into his life as he’s Personal Lord and Savior. His parents are not rich, his mother is a trader and his father is a bricklayer, how he manages to be in university is shocked to a lot of people.

Richard needed five hundred naira to pay at a computer place for typing and printing of his term paper that must be summit the next day. He told his parents about the money two weeks ago but they could not afford it even when tomorrow is the last day to summit or he carry-over the course as threatened by the course Lecturer.

So he waited for his mother to returned from the market so that he will collect the money from her and hurry to the computer place for proof-reading and printing, finally his mother comes back, with joy  written all over Richard, he requested the money from his mother and the mother told him that his father comes to the market  and collected all the money she make from her sales so that  he will add up with what he has  and  give to the landlord for house rent because he has been requesting for his money two weeks ago and even threatened to threw their belongings outside if they don’t comply.

 Richard  filled with disappointment sat down quietly tried to  continued reading his book, he could not concentrate, at that very moment his father came in, he greeted him, and  his father told his mother that he went to see the landlord immediately he collected the money from her but met his absent and that’s where he want to go again and the he sat down brought out the money from his pockets to confirm again before leaving.

Richard didn’t bother to ask his father money for his term-paper because he knew what the answer will be.  His father confirmed the money stood up and said to Richard I will back very soon as Richard lift his head up to say okay  father, he saw five hundred naira under the chair, where his father sat to bring out money from his pockets to count……and …..

The question now is what do you think Richard should do, what will he do at that very point?

Remember this is the exact amount he needs for his term-paper and the deadline to summit it is tomorrow, and if he does not summit he will carry over that very course as threatened by his Lecturer.

Richard just gave his life to JESUS but before that, he was very good in stealing. So what should he do?
